David Conroy

David is a member of our Energy & Natural Resources practice with over 25 years of management consulting experience. He has worked extensively with Oil & Gas super-majors, majors and independents across the world, from corporate headquarters to remote asset settings.

Although David's work spans the full energy value chain, he also specializes in upstream oil & gas with a particular focus on front-end value creation activities and driving sustained performance improvement from existing operations. David leads Bain’s Global Oil & Gas Upstream Solutions, helping operators navigate challenging exploration dynamics, increasingly complex capital projects, the continuous need to improve operating performance and the impact of AI and shifting technical talent models.

David is a passionate advocate for the oil and gas industry’s role in strengthening global energy security and responsibly developing hydrocarbon resources that can fuel economic development across the globe.

Originally from the UK, David graduated from the University of Leeds in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree and has been based in Houston, Texas, since 2010.
