About James

James Brooks is a leader in the firm’s Retail and Consumer Products practice.

James has more than 15 years of consulting experience across a broad range of consumer categories including food and drink, household goods, apparel and consumer electronics, and across retail formats, including grocery, department stores and QSR.

James has deep expertise across strategy, M&A and transformation, having worked across a wide range of strategic programs including pricing, operating model, adjacencies and transformation. Outside of retail, he has led engagements in financial services, industrials and logistics.

He is a recipient of our firm's Bright-Dix Memorial Award, which annually recognizes an individual's outstanding contribution to the professional development of others.

Prior to joining us in 2013, James worked for another consulting firm. He earned his bachelor's degree in Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Melbourne and is a CFA charterholder.
