About Numan

Numan Waheed is a partner in Bain & Company's Atlanta office. He is an expert in Bain's Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) practices as well as the Information Technology, Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategy practices.

Numan advises clients across a variety of industries, including technology, retail, consumer and industrial goods, electronics manufacturing, financial services and healthcare. His engagements have addressed issues including general strategy, IT strategy and optimization, open source strategy and performance improvement, as well as many topics related to data and analytics strategy and operating model.

Prior to joining Bain in 2007, Numan was a research associate focused on computational simulation at the Goodyear Institute of Polymer Science. Numan also previously worked in product and process development at Procter & Gamble.

Numan graduated with honors from Cornell University with a BS in Chemical Engineering and completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a focus on computational modeling. While there, he minored in Finance at the Sloan School of Management.
