Preston has more than 25 years of consulting experience across a range of industries, including healthcare, consumer products and financial services. He has advised leading construction, building, specialty materials, chemicals, big pharma, biotech and medical device companies on their biggest challenges and opportunities.
Preston specializes in corporate and business unit strategy, marketing strategy, operational performance improvement, organizational design and post-merger integration. He has led teams in developing new selling and marketing business models, as well as creating global launch and lifecycle management plans for new and line-extension products.
As an expert in the healthcare field, he has published multiple significant white papers and articles on the pharmaceutical industry.
Preston joined Bain's Boston office in 1992 and has spent time in the Dallas and Johannesburg offices. He is a member of the firm's global partner compensation and promotion committee.
Preston earned an MBA with honors from the Olin School at Washington University. He received a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Washington University.
