About Zach

Expertise

  • Co-inventor of the Stakeholder Value System for strategies that combine tangible and intangible assets to create superior results
  • Co-creator of The Wall Street Journal Management Top 250
  • Former Executive Director and co-founder of the Drucker Institute

Zach First is the co-inventor of the Stakeholder Value System. He has more than 20 years of experience creating, growing and reinventing organizations.

Zach is a serial social entrepreneur with expertise at the intersection of data on the so-called “intangibles” of corporate performance, decision-making models and organizational behavior. He led the creation and commercialization of the company ranking system—adopted by The Wall Street Journal and S&P Dow Jones Indices—that turned timeless management principles into an industry-leading, market-beating quantified method for measuring management effectiveness.

Zach has worked extensively with large public companies to design strategies that create sustainable competitive advantage through distinctive stakeholder systems. His clients have learned how to combine data and values to make disproportionate investments in the outcomes that matter most to the stakeholders who matter most.

He holds an Ed.D from Harvard University and a B.A. in philosophy from Haverford College.
