Zak Prauer is a member of our FRWD® group. He is also a member of our Technology, Private Equity, Consumer Products and Financial Services practices where he focuses on helping B2B and B2C clients modernize their marketing and go-to-market capabilities. 

As a former operator with experience in digital marketing, analytics, and e-commerce, Zak focuses on helping clients pursue actionable modern marketing solutions from the front lines that accelerate results delivery and create enduring capabilities. Zak has been heavily involved in defining the Bain Marketing Experimentation approach, and frequently helps clients deliver front-line-lead transformations through experimentation that address everything from marketing spend optimization to operating model to data and technology capabilities. 

Prior to joining the firm in 2019, Zak worked as the managing director of data strategy and analytics for VMLY&R (WPP), a leading global digital marketing and advertising firm. He spent his earlier career in various digital marketing, digital strategy, e-commerce, and analytics roles, supporting clients in the consumer products and retail industries.

Zak holds a B.S. in marketing and economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh.

Outside of his role at Bain, Zak is the co-founder of the Devin Smith Scholarship Foundation, which provides financial and community support to high school students who demonstrate creative vision. He also enjoys playing soccer, wildlife photography, scuba diving and hiking.
