Press release
LONDON – November 17, 2021 – Bain & Company expands its global Sustainability & Responsibility practice with two new hires. Harry Morrison joins as a partner with a focus on ESG strategy, carbon transition and circularity and Julian Critchlow rejoins the firm as an advisory partner with expertise on decarbonisation.
Harry has more than two decades of experience in consulting and industry, where he has helped large global companies shape their ESG strategies, navigate the net-zero transition and find new sources of growth through developing sustainable products and services. Harry brings a strong focus on climate change and decarbonisation, having worked at the Carbon Trust leading projects on strategy, climate policy, cleantech innovation, and the development of corporate and product-level carbon certification services. He also has experience embedding and scaling complex sustainability transformation programs, including using analytics and digital technologies to enable sustainability.
Julian has more than 30 years of consulting experience with Bain & Company, where he served as the head of the firm’s global Utilities practice for more than a decade. He also led Bain’s work with the World Economic Forum, analysing the energy transition in developed and fast-growth markets. Additionally, he has supported some of the largest global post-merger integrations in sectors as diverse as energy, tech and telecom, industrial goods and services, and construction products. Prior to rejoining Bain, Julian supported the UK government in leading the country's climate actions to deliver net-zero, including planning, designing and implementing cross-government governance, as well as supporting UNFCCC negotiations at COP26.
“I am delighted to welcome Harry to our team and to have Julian back at Bain,” said Jenny Davis-Peccoud, co-head of Bain & Company’s global Sustainability & Responsibility practice. “Their expertise will strengthen our capabilities to support companies in addressing the most pressing priorities of our time: from combatting climate change to building more sustainable and inclusive economies. We look forward to working with our clients on their journeys to achieve a cleaner and more sustainable world.”
