Grace Shieh is a leader in Bain's global Healthcare & Life Sciences and Performance Improvement practices. Since first joining Bain in 1999, Grace has worked in the firm's North American and APAC offices, bringing a global perspective to her engagements.
Over the course of her career at Bain, she has built considerable experience advising senior leadership teams on their most pressing strategic challenges. Grace spends the majority of her time working with global and local biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device clients on strategy and performance improvement initiatives. She focuses on business unit and therapeutic area strategies, commercial innovation and new business models, go-to-market and distribution implementation and M&A initiatives. Grace also service healthcare financial investors in diligence and post-acquisition value creation strategy and execution.
Previously, Grace served as the head of Bain's APAC Healthcare practice, as well as the R&D / Product Development Optimization product lead for our APAC Performance Improvement practice.
Grace also operated a chemicals distribution business based in APAC. She has deep experience with family-owned businesses on issues of professionalization, succession planning and exit.
She earned her MBA in Strategic Management and Operations and Information Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University.
