Sam Thakarar is the managing partner of our Boston office and a member of our Retail practice.
Since joining our firm in 1998, Sam has worked on growth and transformational strategy work across a variety of retail sectors, including mass, specialty retail, home improvement, and department stores. He has extensive experience in large-scale multi-year retail transformations, with a focus on omnichannel growth strategy, personalization & loyalty, customer experience, operating model design, and M&A.
In addition to his client work, he currently serves as chair of our Boston Consultant Promotion Committee.
Sam earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Biological Sciences, with honors and distinction, from Stanford University.
In his personal time, Sam serves on the board of the Boston Public Market and is actively involved with the Pine Street Inn. He lives in Boston's South End with his wife and two daughters.
