Sam Thakarar is a partner in Bain & Company's Boston office. He is a member of Bain's global Retail practice and leads the Procurement sector of Bain's Performance Improvement practice in the Americas.
Sam has more than 15 years of management consulting experience, working with senior executives and management teams to address their most pressing strategic issues.
Sam advises soft and hard goods retailers on a variety of strategic and operational issues. As a procurement expert, he helps clients in a range of industries reduce their spending on third-party goods and services across both direct and indirect categories.
He joined the firm in 1998 and has also worked in Bain's San Francisco, New York and Sydney offices.
Sam received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Biological Sciences with honors and distinction from Stanford University.
