Tony Cape has worked extensively in Bain's Energy & Natural Resources and Performance Improvement practices over the past several years, with a particular focus on procurement (both direct and indirect) and broader cost transformation.

Within his procurement work, he is passionate about building cross-functional partnerships between procurement and operations to ensure depth and sustainability of results. He is one of Bain's leading experts in procurement category strategy optimization.

Tony has worked in many industrials sub-sectors, including chemicals, mining, oil and gas, building products, and transportation and logistics. He has also worked with clients in the consumer products, financial services, hospitality and technology industries, as well as in Bain's Private Equity Group. Outside of performance improvement, Tony has also worked on G&A cost reduction, marketing strategy, organizational design, and pricing strategy alongside several private equity due diligences.

In addition to client work, Tony is involved in training and recruiting activities, leading Tuck recruiting for the Chicago office.

Prior to joining Bain in 2010, Tony worked in advertising sales in Toronto as well as in rural development in Ghana, West Africa.

Tony earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He previously earned a BA (honors) in history and economics from Queen's University.
