About Travis

Share your journey to Bain.

I joined the Atlanta office in January 2022 after completing the ADvantage program. Before Bain, I was finishing up a PhD in economics and public policy at Duke University. Before Duke I was working in the energy industry. And before that I served in the US Air Force. It t ook me a while to get to Bain, but I’m happy I finally made it. I have a wife and 4 kids (girl, boy, girl, boy), the most recent being born on March 30th, 2022. Most of my non-Bain time is spent with the kiddos. My four-year-old recently told me that he wanted to have a job just like me so he can “play games on a computer all day.” I like the positivity.

How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

Bain really stood out to me during the recruiting process. It just became so clear to me that Bain excels in developing people. As someone who has worked in organizations with poor corporate cultures and opportunities to grow, I was excited about the idea of joining a company that invested so heavily in these two areas.

Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?

We solve our clients' trickiest problems. If you're looking for a job where you can make an impact on a weekly or even daily basis, then come work with us. I am especially excited about the efforts we are making in the energy and ESG space. I hope to join all the talented consultants who are helping to move the needle for companies as well as making them more sustainable and more equitable.
