Ravi Vijayaraghavan is a partner based in Bain & Company’s Boston office. He is an expert in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity and Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT) practices.
Since joining Bain in 1995, Ravi has worked with clients across a wide range of industry segments and geographies. His M&A experience encompasses strategy, merger integration, commercial due diligence, go-to-market and front-end integration, as well as deal generation and screening. His private equity experience focuses on commercial due diligence and post-acquisition value-creation.
In the TMT sphere, Ravi focuses on global strategy, transformation, due diligence, restructuring and cost reduction programs, operations and delivery, profitability turnaround and growth blueprint. He has led multi-year client relationships and engagements across the technology stack, from semiconductors to systems and services, and is especially well-versed in enterprise software and strategies to leverage or adapt to disruptive technologies and business models.
During his tenure at Bain, Ravi has worked across the United States and Asia, leading teams in China, Australia, India, Japan, Korea and Singapore. He also previously served as co-head of the firm’s APAC Telecommunications and Technology practices.
Prior to joining the firm, he served as a member of the board of the Singapore Land Authority and also worked in product development and marketing at Oracle Corporation. He currently serves on the firm’s Global Partner Compensation and Promotion Committee and is on the Board of Overseers of public broadcaster WGBH.
He holds an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic and the Indian Institute of Technology, respectively.
