Steven Breeden

Steven Breeden is a leader in our Financial Services, Enterprise Technology and Technology practices.

Steven holds deep financial services expertise, focused on retail and wholesale banking, payments, and insurance. He is one of the firm’s global thought leaders in technology strategy, product management, tech modernization, architecture, and operating model transformation.  Steven focuses on helping companies drive customer, product and operational transformation through technology, data and AI.

His recent client engagements focus on product and platform strategy, technology architecture, core banking and insurance platform modernization, AI platform strategy, and scaled product model transformation for tier 1 banks, insurers, and software companies.

Prior to joining Bain in 2015, Steven served as the CIO of StellarOne Bank and SVP of global wholesale banking technology at Bank of America. He also worked as a software and infrastructure engineer for another global consultancy.

He completed an executive program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University.
