Thrive in Great Company
Careers at Bain
Bain & Company has been named one of the world's best places to work, offering a wide range of career options for undergraduates, MBAs, advanced degree holders and working professionals.
Since day one, our formula for success has been simple—create a high-impact, supportive culture where immensely talented people are encouraged
to be brilliant at what they do.
A career at Bain is an excellent choice—and unlike any other.
Here are a few reasons why ...
At Bain, we want our consultants to experience firsthand how a successful business operates across all functions.
You’ll quickly develop expertise and skills across multiple industries and business needs; we don’t pigeonhole you as a specialist early in your career.
Over time, you'll build increasing expertise, using your unique experience in other industries to advance the client’s objectives.
We want our employees to thrive at Bain, regardless of what their future plans are. Our dedicated career teams (Bain Career Advisory and Bain Executive Network) provide guidance and support at all stages as you plan for your future.
Just two or three years with us will offer you incredible opportunities, both at Bain and beyond—from becoming a Bain partner to starting your own business, stepping into a senior role at a top tech company, joining a private equity firm or making a meaningful social impact at a nonprofit you love.
Bain’s home office model creates a team environment in your home office. Our consultants work with many of their office colleagues on multiple cases throughout their careers—they're not just onetime collaborations. As a result, case leadership is truly invested in you, and your colleagues often become close and supportive friends.
At the crux of our model is your home office program manager, who will get to know you and your professional and personal priorities. He or she will be your career advocate to ensure your experiences meet your professional and personal goals.
This model doesn’t mean you won't develop a strong global network, too. Cross-office teams, international case assignments, experience transfers and global trainings are all commonplace.
At Bain, you truly get the best of both worlds.
We offer comprehensive, individualized training to ensure you have the tools you need to succeed at Bain and beyond. Our trainings don't just happen once a year and our trainers aren't outsourced from other companies. We hold trainings every 12-18 months where you'll be trained with your peers by current Bain managers that know the skills needed to succeed and thrive.
Don't worry, you won't just sit in lecture halls—you'll learn in small groups with an enjoyable mix of presentations, exercises, role-playing and experience sharing.
Diversity is key to our mission of building extraordinary teams that deliver unparalleled results for our firm and our clients. We strive to recruit people with exceptional talent and ability—and to celebrate their differences. We're committed to making Bain a place where everyone can thrive.
Our affinity groups are active networks that underscore our inclusive work environment, offering their members additional levels of connection via coaching, mentoring and professional development. Our networks (Asians at Bain, Blacks at Bain, Latinos at Bain, BGLAD - The GLBTQ Network at Bain & Bridgespan, Vets, Women at Bain) include members from both Bain and the Bridgespan Group, our sister nonprofit consulting organization.
Priorities shift as you journey through life, so we offer flexible options to ensure everyone can have a long-lasting, fulfilling career at Bain. We offer many programs to help you "build your own Bain", some include:
