Rune Wichmann is a partner in our Advanced Manufacturing & Services (AMS) and Commercial Excellence practices, based in Copenhagen.

He recently served as a senior partner at Qvartz prior to the firm’s integration with us, which collectively formed our new Nordics practice, in early 2020.

Over more than 15 years, Rune has advised leading Danish and multinational clients on various strategy and business development topics. As a former leader of Qvartz's Industry and Commercial Excellence practices, he led numerous international engagements encompassing corporate strategy and business development, with a primary focus on growth and front-end optimization within B2B companies.

His recent work has included:

  • A corporate strategy and commercial turnaround for a leading global medtech company;
  • A four-year growth strategy comprising an overhauled GTM model, a reorganized sales organization and an optimized value proposition for a global industrials company;
  • A new channel strategy for a global industrial company by devising the right balance between a direct and an indirect sales model, including designing commercial terms and service models;
  • A pricing program for a leading global industrials company, focusing on both value-based list price-setting, channel price-setting and discount management, as well as commercial term optimization.

Prior to joining Qvartz, Rune worked as an equity analyst for Alfred Berg ABN AMRO, where he focused on business valuation and mergers & acquisitions (M&A).

He holds a master's degree in economics and finance from the University of Copenhagen.
