Toshihiko has nearly 30 years of management consulting experience across a wide range of industries. He has served clients within various consumer products and retail sectors, such as food and beverages, apparel, luxury goods and restaurants, as well as in the pharmaceutical, private equity, real estate and automotive industries.
He holds deep expertise in mergers & acquisitions and has developed M&A strategies for companies in multiple sectors, including food and pharmaceuticals. He has also led multiple turnaround projects in the financial, automotive and private equity sectors.
Toshihiko has held leadership roles in key practice areas throughout his tenure at Bain. He served as office head of Bain Tokyo from 2008 to 2014 and as chairman from 2014 to 2017.
Prior to joining Bain in 1986, he worked for the Industrial Bank of Japan, the country's leading long-term credit bank.
He graduated from the University of Tokyo with a bachelor's degree in the liberal arts. He also earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
