SkillBridge at Bain
Description & Requirements

We welcome military service members transitioning to civilian careers to join our 10-week program for a hands-on consulting experience. You’ll work with Bain teams on real client projects while gaining valuable skills and industry insights. This in-person program offers networking, mentorship, and a pathway to transition your military leadership to business.

Experience what it’s like to work as a strategy consultant. You’ll participate in several days of training where our team will help build core consulting skills such a business acumen and communication. Then you’ll be staffed on a case team. Throughout the summer, you’ll get to know the people in your office and across regions, and connect with leaders in our Veterans at Bain community.
Engage with global teams, explore Bain’s consulting approach, and experience the firm’s unique support.
Work on real cases, solve complex problems, and gain unmatched consulting skills.

How to apply for this program

This program is for military SkillBridge participants with over five years of service and a bachelor's, master’s, or MBA degree. This 10-week internship is available at our Chicago and Texas offices in June – August 2025.

How are SkillBridge participants selected?
We are looking for active-duty service members who are U.S. citizens and hold at least one of the following degrees: bachelor’s, master’s, PhD, MBA degree. Successful applicants will participate in a series of 45-minute case and behavioral interviews ahead of being selected into the program. How should I consider Bain office locations when submitting an application?
We are only offering the SkillBridge program in our Chicago and Texas offices. If participants are successful during the summer, they will receive a full-time consultant offer from their program office. If you have other questions, please reach out to the AMER Bain SkillBridge Inbox.

Do I need to be a SkillBridge member to apply for Bain's SkillBridge program?
Yes. Our SkillBridge program is only for people who are affiliated with SkillBridge as members. Please see the SkillBridge website for more details.

What are the other eligibility requirements outside of being a SkillBridge participant?
Participants must be eligible to participate in our Summer 2025 program. You do not need commander approval to apply. You must receive commander approval to participate in the summer program.
