As part of a bold digital transformation, Tata Steel launched Aashiyana, an e-commerce platform that enables consumers to purchase products directly from the company. The vision was to make buying steel as easy as buying appliances, cement, or any other component of a new home. But the platform does more than that: It also provides customers with a wealth of useful information about the entire home-building process. And it helps Tata reach customers in every corner of India.

The result was ION, a powerful but easy-to-use tool that not only reduces waste but gives employees more free time and helps them earn more money.
