During his tenure at the firm, he has worked with the top management of numerous large national and multinational groups across industries, including retail, financial services, energy, airlines and private equity.
Within the retail space, Antonio has honed particularly deep expertise in groceries, drug stores, gas stations and convenience stores, among other verticals.
He has led engagements addressing corporate strategy, business unit strategy, growth strategy via adjacencies, customer loyalty, CRM and rewards programs, go-to-market strategy, M&A, due diligence, JV structuring and performance improvement.
Prior to joining Bain in 2002, he worked within various offices of another top management consulting firm, focusing primarily on financial services. He also served as the new business development director for Compaq Brazil.
Previously, he co-founded a new venture to offer web access through television in Mexico and Brazil.
Antonio graduated with a degree in industrial engineering from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Venezuela. He also holds an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Business.
He is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese, with additional good knowledge of French.
