Michael Wharfe is a partner based in Bain & Company’s London office. He is a member of the firm's Consumer Products and Customer Strategy & Marketing practices, with a strong focus on revenue growth management.
Michael holds deep expertise across the full range of profit and loss levers for consumer products companies, from revenue management to cost of goods sold (COGS) optimization. He has particularly extensive experience in advising large multinationals within the food and beverage sector.
Michael focuses primarily on growth, transformation and translating strategy into action. He works with clients to address an extensive range of business issues, including brand and business unit strategy, merger integration, pricing, talent and leadership supply, micro-battles, the Founder's Mentality, commercial strategy, customer and consumer insights, commercial planning and in-store execution.
Prior to joining Bain in 2005, he was part of the founding project team at Agilisys, a leading UK digital technology provider.
Michael holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MA from Cambridge University.
