Press release
AMSTERDAM—September 11, 2026—Bain & Company today announced that Véronique Pauwels is rejoining the firm as partner and chairwoman of Bain Netherlands, effective October 19.
Pauwels previously spent more than 25 years at Bain, including as managing partner of the Netherlands, leading the firm’s Amsterdam office, and previously as leader of the firm’s EMEA Performance Improvement practice, before leaving to become President and CEO of Versuni, the leading global home appliance company headquartered in Amsterdam. During her tenure at Versuni, she led a significant transformation of the business, driving growth, profitability and value creation while strengthening the company’s position as a global leader in its markets.
In returning to Bain, Pauwels will focus on a select number of the firm’s key client relationships with major global and European businesses, as well as large-scale transformation situations. She will be closely involved in Bain’s Consumer Products and Private Equity work.
As Chairwoman of Bain Netherlands, she will also help deepen the firm’s relationships with senior business leaders in the Dutch business community. Her return to Bain comes at a moment of strong momentum for Bain’s Benelux business, driven by strong growth in client demand across the full range of the firm’s practices and capabilities.
Tom De Waele, Bain’s managing partner for EMEA added: “Having navigated the full complexity of the CEO role – from strategy to execution – in her time at Versuni, Véronique returns to the firm with an invaluable perspective on the challenges leaders and boards face today. We are excited by the impact she will have for our clients, Bain’s business in the Netherlands, Europe and beyond.”
Cédric Bovy, managing partner of Bain’s Amsterdam and Brussels offices and head of the firm’s Benelux cluster said: “Véronique brings a rare combination: an outstanding track record as a Bain leader and advisor, together with the experience of successfully leading and transforming a global business as CEO. She returns with an even deeper understanding of the challenges facing CEOs, boards and investors. We are delighted to welcome her back.”
Véronique Pauwels said: “Leading Versuni – building the team, transforming the business from the inside – was enormously rewarding and gave me an invaluable new perspective as an operator. Bain has always been very special to me: its people, its values and the impact we have with clients. Returning allows me to bring the best of both experiences together and apply them to support multiple businesses, leaders and transformations, and I am incredibly excited to be back.”
