The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:
This role is based in the Vector Center of Excellence (Vector CoE), part of Bain’s broader “Data & Technology” umbrella within the BCN. The Vector CoE provides specialized support on Tech Strategy, Transformation, and Roadmap projects for Bain clients across industries. The Vector CoE team acts as the analytical and delivery arm of Bain’s ET Practice, providing expertise in:
- Building and deploying Enterprise Technology diagnostics
- Delivering core technology products for consulting teams
- Working directly with clients to support technology transformations
- Integrating new and emerging technologies such as AI and automation into diagnostics
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Build expertise on existing tools to guide case teams appropriately and help develop newer solutions for the ET Practice
- Quickly develop knowledge on different diagnostics/ solutions within Bain ET team as well as the clients managed by own team, helping them cater to multiple stakeholders on a daily basis
- Work under the guidance of a Project Leader / Team Manager, playing a key role in driving the team’s overall answer and final materials, client communication, work planning, and team management
- Provide thought leadership and sound business judgment to drive innovation, product ideation and development
- Display strong execution ability along with the ability to delegate appropriately to junior team members
- Display strong ability to pressure-test insights and conduct thorough validation and sense checks
- Understand client needs and situations and adapt to case expectations
- Ensure timely, high quality, zero-defect delivery, analysis and output
- Ability to deliver client-ready outputs with actionable, implementable solutions
- Display excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, driving teams toward practical and pragmatic solutions

ABOUT YOU:
- Candidates should be graduates / post-graduates with strong academic record
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies – 2-5 years of relevant experience in a professional services context
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is postgraduate studies – 2-3 years of relevant experience in a professional services context
- Ideal candidates should have a strong consulting mindset and past experience in client-facing engagements working in areas pertaining to Data engineering and transformation
- Support the design of scalable and future-ready enterprise data architectures aligned with business and analytics needs
- Assess existing data platforms, pipelines, and operating models to identify optimization opportunities across performance, scalability, governance, and cost
- Experience working in data modernization and cloud transformation programs across AWS, Azure, and GCP ecosystems
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business teams to define data platform blueprints, integration approaches, and support solution design leveraging technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, and Airflow
- Understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, data warehousing, and distributed data processing concepts
- Hands on knowledge of advanced excel, PowerPoint, survey design and management via tools like Qualtrics
- Beginner to intermediate level proficiency in GenAI and data tools (ChatGPT, Claude, OpenAI/GenAI tooling, AI/ML modelling) and Data and Analytics tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau/Power BI)
- AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, or Snowflake certifications preferred
- Familiarity with DevOps, automation, and platform governance concepts preferred
- Possess excellent analytic, communication, and team player skills with ability to multi-task, work in a cross-team setup and work under pressure
