So much has gone virtual due to Covid-19, but physicians still value in-person sales and service visits, according to Bain & Company’s latest survey of frontline providers, conducted with Dynata. Prior to Covid, about three-fourths of physicians preferred face-to-face engagement with medtech and pharmaceutical reps. Today, more are open to virtual approaches and a reduction in visit frequency, but a majority still prefer at least some in-person interaction once the pandemic passes. To address these shifting customer preferences, medtech and pharma companies will need to continue in-person interactions while adding digital capabilities.
The global Covid-19 pandemic has extracted a terrible human toll and spurred sweeping changes in the world economy. Across industries, executives have begun reassessing their strategies and repositioning their companies to thrive now and in the world beyond coronavirus.
