Lachlan McMurdo

Lachie McMurdo is a member of our Australian Private Equity and Healthcare and Life Sciences practices.

Within private equity, Lachie has led over 50 commercial due diligence engagements, with a focus on healthcare and life sciences deals. He has also completed a number of value creation projects for financial sponsors, mostly in the healthcare space. 

Within healthcare, Lachie has focused on strategy engagements, most recently in the private health insurance sector.

Lachie left Bain as a Consultant in 2012 and worked for a growth focused Australian private equity fund for five years, before re-joining Bain as a Senior Manager in 2019.

Lachie takes a deep interest in mentorship, having been awarded Bain Australia's Mentor Max award in 2020. For the past two years Lachie has also led a working group in the Australian practice focused on improving the quality of mentorship offered to ACs, SACs and Consultants.

Outside of Bain, Lachie enjoys spending time with his family - his wife Alexandra and two sons James and Thomas.
