Maria Belfrage

Maria Belfrage is a member of our Advanced Manufacturing & Services and Performance Improvement practices.

She brings over 15 years of experience across consulting and industry. Before rejoining Bain in August 2026, Maria held senior strategy roles at two listed Nordic multinationals. From 2020 to 2022, she served as Vice President, Group Strategy and Sustainability at medtech company Elekta. In early 2023, she joined Vestas as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Global Intelligence and M&A.

Earlier in her career, Maria spent seven years at Nordic strategy consultancy QVARTZ, where she led complex engagements across the industrial, transportation and logistics, medtech and consumer goods sectors. Her work focused primarily on corporate strategy, commercial strategy and transformation.

Maria holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Financial Management from Stockholm School of Economics and completed part of her studies at the University of Sydney. Outside of work, she enjoys the active life that comes with raising two young boys.
