Orit Gadiesh is the Chairman of Bain & Company. She is widely acknowledged as an expert on management and corporate strategy.
Ms. Gadiesh has advised top-level management in structuring and managing portfolios, developing and implementing global strategy, Digital strategy, executing turnarounds, improving organizational effectiveness, determining marketing channel and supply chain strategies, designing both performance improvement and growth programs, M&A and PMI. She has worked across a wide array of industries, including Consumer Products, Automotive (cars and trucks), Steel, Industrial Products, Retail, Computers, Telecommunications, Electronics and Healthcare. She splits her time on active client work between North America, Europe and Asia.
Ms. Gadiesh is a frequent contributor to business publications. Articles she has authored have appeared in publications including The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review and Forbes, as well and many other major business newspapers and magazines throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. She also co-authored the book “Lessons from Private Equity Any Company Can Use" and is a sought-after speaker at high-level executive conferences around the globe.

Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Gadiesh served in the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army. She holds degrees from Hebrew University, Jerusalem (BA, summa cum laude) and Harvard Business School (MBA, with highest honors). At Harvard, she was named a Baker Scholar and presented with the Brown Award.
Ms. Gadiesh volunteers her experience as a pragmatic strategist to the business, civic and academic community in both the local and global arenas.
She was a member of the Board of Directors of WPP (2004-2014) and is a member of both the supervisory board of Royal Dutch Philips and the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum.
She is also a member of the Community of Chairpersons for the World Economic Forum and a member of the International Business Leaders' Advisory Council for the Mayor of Shanghai (IBLAC), which she chaired for 3 years. Further, she is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Ms. Gadiesh is a Governor of Tel Aviv University and a member of MIT Corporation. She is also a member of the International Advisory Council of the James Martin 21st Century School of the University of Oxford, the Peres Institute for Peace and Innovation, as well as the Harvard Kennedy School’s Dean’s Council.
