Michael Brookshire

Michael Brookshire is the leader of our Healthcare & Life Sciences practice in the Americas and is a member of our Strategy, Performance Improvement, and Customer practices.  

His clients span the full range of providers, including health systems, academic medical centers, outpatient clinics, physician groups, and others. He has also advised payers and healthcare services companies, including distributors, pharmacies, healthcare technology, and more. Michael specializes in advising clients across strategy, operations, customer experience, and M&A.

Before leading the Healthcare & Life Sciences practice in the Americas, Michael was the head of the Texas Office, managing our Austin, Dallas, and Houston offices.

He is the former leader of our Service Operations product globally and has broad experience helping companies improve their customer experience, increase their operational effectiveness and lower their cost structure.

He holds an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He also graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering, summa cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.

Outside of Bain, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
