Prior to Bain, I interned at a port authority and a candy company - two roles that offered vastly different experiences and types of work. I enjoyed immersing myself in each industry, but I quickly realized I was seeking a faster-paced environment where I could have a greater impact on the challenges being addressed. That realization, along with my experience in a university consulting club, motivated me to apply for the ACI internship. I was fortunate to receive an offer and now enjoy working across a range of industries, including retail, healthcare, and chemicals.

Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?
You consistently work closely with executive leadership at some of the largest companies in the world. That level of exposure brings meaningful ownership and the opportunity to shape critical strategic decisions. For example, my first case focused on developing a growth strategy for a major department store chain, one I had personally shopped at many times. It was especially rewarding to see how the work I contributed to could ultimately impact consumers like myself.
