Before joining Bain, I was earning my PhD in biomedical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. My research involved cell-based therapies and synthetic biology. During the third year of my PhD, I co-founded a startup working with venture capital firms. I realized then that I enjoyed fast-paced environments where I can work on different things, which led me to consulting. Bain is the best fit due to the fantastic culture, challenging work, and opportunities available.
How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?
Bain's culture made it clear that it was the right company for me. The people I've worked with are the brightest and best, and they truly live by the Bain motto of ‘a Bainie never lets another Bainie fail.’ In addition to the fantastic people, other factors for Bain being the right company for me include the way we work and the high-quality insights we provide our clients, which makes me feel like I am making an impact.
Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?
Every case I’ve worked on has helped shape our clients in one way or another. Being able to see the work we do create real value or drive change makes me feel like I am doing impactful work. Every case has been different and challenging, which I find very exciting.
