Emily Magruder

Emily Magruder is a member of our M&A and Divestitures and Healthcare & Life Sciences practices.

An expert in M&A, Divestitures and other types of transformational programs, Emily has worked across industries, including medtech, retail, consumer products and B2B services. Emily leads our global M&A Capability offering and is especially passionate about helping clients build their own M&A programs and capabilities to drive value.

Prior to joining us, Emily was a Teach for America corps member in Brooklyn, New York, and spent a year working for the Steppingstone Foundation, a Boston-based nonprofit providing college access opportunities to low-income families. 

Beyond her client work, Emily is an active member of our training and recruiting teams, and she serves on both our Women@Bain and Education@Bain teams in Boston.

She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an M.Ed. from Bank Street College of Education, and a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Princeton University.  

A Boston native, she enjoys cooking, running, and reading.
