Richard Jackson is a leader in Bain's Energy & Natural Resources practice with a focus on Mining, as well as in the Advanced Manufacturing & Services practice with a focus on Construction & Building Products and Real Estate.

Richard joined Bain in 1993 and is based in London. He has previously worked in the firm's Johannesburg, Amsterdam, San Francisco and Hong Kong offices.

He has more than 25 years of consulting experience in strategy, M&A and performance improvement in developed and emerging markets. 

Richard’s projects cover the broad range of activities required to assess investment opportunities and establish strategies for profitable growth. These include market fundamentals, competitive position, profitability, performance improvement potential, synergies, separation and post-merger integration planning. He has led the design and implementation of complex projects on behalf of CEOs and boards of directors. He also worked for several years in emerging markets private equity, with a focus on Africa.

Richard earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1998 and graduated with an MEng and an MA from the University of Cambridge in 1993.
