Biografie Richard

Richard Jackson is a leader in Bain's Mergers & Acquisitions, Energy & Natural Resources and Metals & Mining practices. 

He joined Bain in 1993 and has worked in the firm's Johannesburg, Amsterdam and San Francisco offices.

Richard has more than 20 years of consulting experience in corporate mergers and acquisitions and private equity in both developed and emerging markets. He advises clients across a range of industry sectors, including industrial goods and services, mining, oil and gas, retail and consumer products in Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia.

Richard’s projects cover the broad range of activities required to assess investment opportunities, including the review of market fundamentals, competitive position, profitability, performance improvement potential, synergies, separation and post-merger integration planning. He has led the design and implementation of complex projects on behalf of CEOs and boards of directors. He also worked for several years in emerging markets’ private equity, based in the UK and South Africa.

Richard earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated with an MEng and an MA from the University of Cambridge.
