Steve Beam

Steve Beam is the global Finance Optimization Lead, leader of our Corporate Finance practice, and member of our Performance Improvement practice. With over 20 years of experience, he has deep industry expertise in all facets of corporate finance.

Steve is responsible for all activities that may fall within the office of the CFO and sub-functions, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A), controllership, treasury, record-to-report (R2R), shared services, tax, and supply chain. As an advisor, operator, and partner to our finance function, he drives impactful solutions for clients—whether through full-scale finance transformations or targeted improvements in process, organizational structure, or technology enablement.

Before joining Bain, Steve held several leadership roles in the finance industry, including CFO, CIO of Transformation, and positions across commercial finance, FP&A, treasury, supply chain, operations, and strategic initiatives, among others.

Beyond his client engagements, Steve is an active thought leader in the finance community. He leads CFO roundtables, speaks at industry conferences, and contributes to publications on Finance of the Future.
