Milan – 18 Oct. 2018 - Bain & Company announces the appointment of Marco Mazzucchelli as an external advisor based in the firm’s Milan office. Mazzucchelli brings 30 years of experience in the financial industry to his new role, where he will focus on supporting the development of the firm’s Financial Services practice in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). His appointment was effective October 15, 2018.
“Marco’s deep experience in financial services will be a tremendous advantage for both Bain & Company and our clients,” said Roberto Prioreschi, managing partner of Bain Italy. “He has unparalleledexperience in Europe’s banking industry, and his understanding of regulatory proceedings in the region will be a huge asset to the firm as we expand our foothold here.”
In his role advisory role, Mazzucchelli will primarily support Bain & Company and its clients across Europe. He will work closely with the firm’s regional leadership team to cultivate relationships with EMEA banks, asset managers and insurers, thereby expanding Bain & Company’s network in the financial services sector. He will also help to broaden and develop the firm’s internal knowledge base of European regulatory bodies.

Prior to joining Bain & Company, Mazzucchelli was managing director at Bank Julius Baer Zürich from 2012 to 2018. During his tenure, he helped to lead strategic acquisitions of both Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and Kairos Investment Management. He also served as a board member for both acquisitions. Mazzucchelli’s previous experience includes executive level positions at the Royal Bank of Scotland, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Citibank, and the European Commission (high level expert group on banking reform), among others.
He earned his degree from Bocconi University in Milan.
