Our Culture

London Bainies are a diverse group; we have over 50 nationalities represented at Bain London, speaking 65 languages. As part of our commitment to attracting and retaining the best talent, we’re proud of our inclusive culture, our supportive mentorship program, and our focus on professional development. Our office is home to a number of affinity groups, and we take pride in providing new pathways into consulting, such as our True North Scholarships for women and for black heritage students. A hive of energy, Bain London offers a range of activities for everyone, from book clubs to social impact work to our Bain Peloton cycling crew. We’re a big office that feels like a small world.

Social Impact

We're proud of our Social Impact team in London, who have increased pro bono consulting and volunteer hours year on year. We've contributed ~$12M in pro bono consulting to date, and our people have volunteered more than 40,000 hours to various social impact initiatives through our dedicated social impact ringfence. Pro-Bono

On top of their corporate cases, our consultants deliver “extra 10” projects to charities and NGOs throughout the year. These highly rewarding and impactful projects include organisations as diverse as the UNHCR to local food bank charities.

Volunteering

The London office also sponsors volunteering initiatives ranging from small team events, such as cleaning the beach and cooking for the homeless, to long-term commitments with social enterprises, including lunchtime tutoring programs, mock interviews for job seekers, and mentoring/training of charity CEOs.

Education Transformation

Through our Social Impact ring fence, we work with long-term partners (Impetus-The Private Equity Foundation, Ark Schools, and The Social Business Trust) to help disadvantaged young people. A full team works throughout the year to deliver projects across our capabilities to 50+ organizations within these partner portfolios.
