Renato Xavier

Renato Xavier is a member of our Private Equity and Financial Services practices, with a particular focus on payments.

He advises global and local private equity investors, sovereign wealth funds and asset managers, as well as portfolio companies, strategic buyers and fintechs across Latin America. His work spans commercial due diligence, strategic planning and value creation, M&A strategy and operating model redesign. He has supported clients across a range of sectors, including financial services, retail, consumer products, technology and healthcare, and has significant experience in post-merger integration.

Beyond his client work, Renato serves as the Risk Officer for our South America region.

Before joining Bain, Renato worked at other consulting firms and held roles at Hypermarcas and Cielo focused on merchant acquisition.

He holds degrees in electrical engineering from the University of São Paulo (Poli-USP) and École Centrale de Lyon, and earned an MBA from INSEAD.
