Bain & Company partner Annie Medaglia named Young Global Leader by World Economic Forum

LONDON & NEW YORKApril 16, 2026—Bain & Company announced today that Annie Medaglia, a Washington DC-based partner in the firm’s Energy & Natural Resources and Sustainability & Responsibility practices, has been named a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum.

Annie has been recognized for her professional contributions and leadership in the energy and sustainability field, driving meaningful impact within Bain and beyond. She is one of some 100 of the most promising leaders under 40 from across sectors named by the Forum to this year’s YGL class.

The WEF’s 1400-strong Forum of Young Global Leaders is an international is an international community of exceptional individuals from more than 120 countries and spanning sectors including business, government, civil society, science, culture, and media. Nominated from around the world, YGLs are selected according to the Forum’s rigorous criteria and having demonstrated a commitment to serving society. They take part in a three-year WEF development program including academic modules, thematic gatherings, and opportunities to contribute to strategic initiatives aligned with the World Economic Forum’s mission to tackle the world’s most pressing issues.”

Annie has nearly a decade of consulting experience advising clients on the energy and sustainability transition, with a focus on scaling investments and infrastructure. She partners with organizations to define strategy, build organizational models, and drive performance improvement. Annie also leads Bain’s engagement with the Business Roundtable, the influential association of chief executives from America’s leading companies that works to promote a thriving US economy.

Annie holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. She is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She will be the latest addition to a group of six fellow Bain partners who are active or alumni WEF Young Global Leaders.
