WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Over the past two decades, Bain has formalized Industry and Capability areas, internally known as “Practices,” integral to how Bain wins and delivers results for clients. A Practice can be considered a business unit of Bain & Company. While there may be some allocation to client-facing work, a role within a Practice primarily supports our client-facing partners and case teams to deliver great client and people success stories. Practices define and implement their own strategies and allocate resources to:

• Boost Bain’s knowledge and expertise in the sector or capability
• Prioritize clients and enable client full potential
• Develop partner team and capabilities
• Build the practice’s brand and reputation externally

You’ll join the Product, Practice & Knowledge (PPK) group in our AI, Insights, and Solutions practice, a global capability team that supports Closely integrated with Bain’s industry and capability practices, AIS delivers holistic business and technology solutions that drive lasting impact.

You’ll collaborate with regional affiliates, industry experts, product leaders to shape and scale impact across Bain’s client base.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

As a Practice Consultant in AIS, you will be a critical member of the team, supporting practice leadership in developing IP, creating high-quality client materials, and enabling commercial success. You’ll work closely with partners, affiliates, and case teams to bring Bain’s analytics and AI expertise to life through proposals, insights, demos, and thought leadership. This is a hands-on role that blends analysis, solution-building, and practice enablement, while also contributing to the longer-term success and growth of the practice.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Practice IP & Solution Development (40%)

• Support the design and development of practice IP, including research briefs, benchmarks, and industry perspectives.
• Help scope and package AIS solutions into compelling, client-ready materials.
• Conduct analysis to build business cases and develop supporting content for solution commercialization.
• Translate complex data and technology concepts into clear, actionable insights.

Commercial Enablement & Proposal Support (40%)

• Work with partners and practice leadership to prepare high-quality proposals, presentations, and demos.
• Help build and maintain a library of commercial materials, ensuring consistency and reusability.
• Contribute to case team support, providing practical tools and insights that strengthen Bain’s pitch to clients.
• Collaborate with affiliates and BCN teams to refine proposal messaging and structure.

Practice Operations & Collaboration (20%)

• Contribute to knowledge management efforts, including codifying best practices and maintaining databases of collateral.
• Support practice planning and reporting by gathering data and highlighting trends.
• Collaborate cross-practice and cross-functionally to share insights and strengthen Bain’s collective capabilities.
• Contribute to training sessions and informal coaching of junior team members

ABOUT YOU

• 3–6 years of professional experience, ideally with consulting or analytics background
• Experience supporting business development, client proposals, or IP creation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to structure and execute research
• Proficiency with business tools (Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort working with data
• Experience and expertise in AI and analytics tools and trends (e.g., large language models, machine learning applications)
• Previous experience in analytics / AI  topics
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt solutions to sector- or client-specific contexts
