Creative Services, part of Bain’s Global Business Services organization, is a group of expert designers that transforms complex ideas into powerful visual communications. Our team supports internal stakeholders and client teams around the world with high-impact presentation design, storytelling, and data visualization. We collaborate closely with business leaders, content owners, and other designers to deliver work that drives clarity, insight, and engagement.
The Role
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As Senior Design Associate, your role will require you to work closely with client teams and business partners to provide high quality, fast turnaround presentation design assistance and advice on design solutions that effectively conveys the client's message and objectives. The position requires exceptional time management and attention to detail to ensure precise, efficient, and prompt fulfilment of assigned tasks as well as quality assurance for more junior team members.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Produce high-quality, fast turnaround design support for client teams and business partners, according to Bain and client brand standards
- Support client teams and business partners to produce work that is timely and accurate
- Advise on layout, design, and technical solutions with the goal of making the information and aesthetics simple, clear, and consistent
- In-depth knowledge of presentation design toolkit (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, data visualization)
- Contribute to team success by quality-checking the work of less experienced colleagues
ABOUT YOU
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Comprehend the fundamental principles and techniques of design
- Design while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small
- Determine how long tasks should take, considering personal capacity, identifying roadblocks, and updating team collaboration tools to ensure the efficient use of time and resources
- Build trusting and collaborative relationships with stakeholders (e.g. seeks clarification, listens and incorporates relevant design feedback, provides delivery updates on own work etc.)
- Work as an individual designer, or member of a design team, to and apply design direction from asset libraries, project owners, and design mentors with accuracy and ease
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a design-focused professional environment
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
