What has been the most memorable experience at Bain?
Discussing how to manage change in merger integrations with a client while in a dune buggy racing down a massive sandhill in Abu Dhabi!
Kaoru Perkins (Partner), University of Washington (B.S. Econ & B.A. Int’l studies)
What is your advice for someone considering applying?
Even if you did not originally consider a consulting career, you should definitely take a close look at Bain. Many Bainies (including myself) did not consider consulting as their 1st choice when looking at future careers, but I chose Bain because of its welcoming people and amazing culture. For interviews, do prepare for cases but most importantly have fun and show us who you really are! Really hope to see you during the application process!
Wataru Fujimura (Manager) The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (B.S. Econ)
What makes Bain different from other consulting firms?
The culture! ‘A Bainie never lets another Bainie fail’ extends beyond just case work. I have felt supported and cared for by the entire Tokyo office during my time at Bain, both consultants and functional professionals alike, which has made it a great place to start and grow my career
