Global health systems will face major changes until the end of the decade, and the situation in Brazil is no different. In this brief, we address the main trends that will affect the health insurance sector in Brazil from three different perspectives: patients, providers and payers.

Changes in the demand profile, the search for operational efficiency, consolidations in the market and increased pressure for cost management along the chain are the main challenges. We suggest some ways to face them, such as the strengthening of primary care, the adoption of service protocols, better management of information and the introduction of payment methods that are better aligned between parties.
