Miles Cook is a leader in the firm's Performance Improvement practice and the founder of the Supply Chain practice. Additionally, he is a leader in Bain's Private Equity practice.
Since joining Bain in 1986, Miles has worked across a wide range of clients and industries on growth strategies, mergers and acquisitions, new business and new product launches and performance improvement programs.
Miles has worked extensively with companies in the consumer products, retail, industrial, technology and logistics industries on topics related to growing the bottom line and enterprise value. He has cross-industry experience with market segmentation, growth strategy, channel strategy, sales force structure and deployment, working capital optimization, logistics network optimization and change management.
Miles also co-leads Bain's Private Equity practice in the Southeast. He has worked with clients at more than a dozen funds to assess over 200 investment opportunities across a wide variety of manufacturing, technology and service businesses.
Previously, Miles erved as the managing partner and office head of the Atlanta office.
He earned an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford, where he was an Arjay Miller scholar. He is also a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in economics with highest distinction. Miles currently sits on the boards of Focal Point Data Risk, Alliance Theater and the Telluride Science Research Center.
