Hospitals across the country have suffered an economic toll from the elimination of nonemergency care. Now with the rate of new Covid-19 cases dropping, they are planning to restart regular patient care. But in Bain & Company’s latest survey of frontline healthcare workers and other clinicians, nearly 60% report their organizations are not yet equipped to manage the return to elective care.
