Francine Gierak is a member of our Customer and Retail practices and the managing director of the Bay Area office. She advises clients on growth strategy, digital and commercial transformation, customer segmentation, marketing, and operating model redesign.
With more than a decade of consulting experience, Francine works with domestic and international Fortune 500 retailers and brands to help them reorganize for an omnichannel and modern world. Her recent work includes leading a major consumer growth strategy refresh and a redesign of the commercial operating model for a global retailer, and advising a large hospitality company on marketing and pricing strategy. She also regularly partners with digital natives and ad-tech and mar-tech players, helping them sharpen their customer value propositions, accelerate growth, and improve marketing effectiveness.
Beyond client work, Francine is also leader within FRWD, Bain’s global community of marketing specialists, and, is a frequent contributor to Bain thought leadership, having authored numerous articles on modern marketing and growth, incl. work such as “Marketers’ Agency Partnerships Are Strained. Now Comes AI,” which explores how hybrid agency models and generative AI are reshaping marketing capability strategy; as well as “Cannes Lions 2025: How Marketing Leaders Win,” on what distinguishes today’s top marketing organizations.
Francine is passionate about supporting Women at Bain (WAB) and has helped drive global initiatives to make the firm the best place for female talent.
Francine originally joined us in our Amsterdam office in 2009. Since 2011, she has lived in San Francisco. And outside of work, she loves being in the outdoors with her 3 daughters and husband.
