In her 25+ years at Bain, Martha has held numerous leadership positions. As the Vice President of the Social Impact practice, Martha helped oversee Bain’s $1.1B commitment to pro bono consulting in four areas: Environment, Economic Development, Racial Equity & Social Justice, and Education. She has deep expertise in sustainability functions/operations, sustainability strategy, carbon offsets, ESG reporting and market-based solutions to conservation.
Martha previously represented Bain for three years as an extern with the World Economic Forum, where she led a portfolio of consumer-focused industry verticals including food, consumer goods, retail, health, and tourism, launched three cross-sector coalitions including the WEF’s first business alliance on Food Systems in Africa, and served as the strategic advisor to the founder and Executive Chairman.
Martha holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA in Russian Studies and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
Based in Chamonix, France, Martha spends her time outside of work trying to keep pace with her family as they climb up and ski down some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. She eagerly awaits the day when her son will be old enough to learn to surf so the playing “field” will be more level.
