Michael Schertler

Michael Schertler leads our Machinery practice in EMEA and is the Product Leader of our Performance Improvement practice.

With more than two decades of management consulting experience, Michael works with industrial companies and private equity investors to improve performance and create long-term value. His expertise spans strategy development across machinery, plant engineering, construction, and commercial vehicles. Michael also has deep knowledge in supply chain management and is an active contributor in our Digital, Automotive, and Machinery practices. 

Prior to Bain, Michael worked as a Business Development Manager at a startup and as a technology consultant. He holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Technische Universität München.
