Barney Hamilton

Barney Hamilton is a talent leader in the firm globally; designing, innovating and delivering talent strategies for Bain & Company. In addition he also is the Chief Talent Officer for Bain in the United Kingdom – Bain’s largest office.

Barney is a leader in innovation and delivery in both integrated talent strategy and numerous talent functions, including workforce planning, recruiting, L&D, professional development, and DE&I. He has a deep understanding of talent management in professional services and client serving - as well as in business management roles.

Under his leadership, Bain has won numerous national “Best Place to Work” awards in Europe, building off best practices and policies initiated by Barney which have been implemented across the firm, globally. Barney also received the Bain’s global Bright Dix award for people development.

He joined Bain in 1994 and holds twenty years of consulting experience, half of which as a client facing Partner. In 2015 he switched his focus to serve Bain’s talent pool, when he became Bain UK’s Chief Talent Officer while also taking on a key role of supporting talent strategy globally. 

Barney holds an MA in maths & philosophy from University of Cambridge.
