Share your journey to Bain.

I joined Bain in 2021 after spending around five years in consulting at another firm. At that point when I took stock of my career aspirations, I knew I wanted to do consulting long term and Bain seemed to be the right fit for my focus areas. 

Ever since I joined Bain, I have felt at home. Everyone I have met has gone out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable here. The NB2B program – New Bainee to Bainee program is a well-thought-out and structured program to seamlessly integrate lateral/industry hires. 

It has been around 2.5 years now at Bain, but it feels like this has always been home. 

How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

In the demanding profession of consulting, two factors make it gratifying in the long run: content and people.  

The kind of topics Bain works on are cutting-edge and high impact. They give great opportunities to be in the cross hairs of where all the action happens. Additionally, consulting is a people’s business and it’s incredibly important to have a strong bond with the people you work with. Everyone I met at Bain during my hiring process was incredibly warm, humble, and welcoming. Instant connections made it much easier for me to accept my Bain offer. 

Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?

Bain offers great opportunities to drive results. The team effort that consistently brings out the best in Bain is one of the most effective ways for us to drive results and create client impact. If you think of a topic, someone at Bain has likely worked on it. In several instances, I have reached out to our colleagues in different offices and sometimes even at odd hours. The responsiveness and motivation to help each other are just too energizing. I suppose this is an inherent part of being a Bainie and something that keeps me bound and grounded here. 

Share some of your favorite work (personal or professional) you’ve done while at Bain.

Every project at Bain is special and gives an opportunity to unlock significant value for our clients. Picking one of them is incredibly difficult. However, creating a strategy for alternate growth engines for our core industrial clients and seeing them take it forward has been really rewarding for me, personally.
